"Vakhnina and Partners" client's patent was chosen as the Patent of the month by EAPO

We are pleased to announce that the Eurasian Patent Office has selected a patent application of our client from India, a large pharmaceutical company, as the Patent of the Month.

Our Firm have significant volume of work on Eurasian patents, and as a part of regular evaluation by the EAPO, a patent application of one of our Indian clients was selected as the Patent of the Month by EAPO.

It was a patent to treat Dengue disease which we have been working on during some period, and the patent was just recently granted. We are happy to have such results and our Indian pharma client is pleased too!

A few words about EAPO:

The EAPO (Eurasian Patent Office) is a authority uniting 8 member countries (the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Georgia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Ukraine) in order to provide legal protection of inventions and industrial designs on the territory of these member countries.

The Eurasian Patent Convention was signed in 1994, and 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of the Eurasian Patent Convention and the Eurasian Patent Office.

The advantages of the Eurasian Patent Application are that the applicant can submit one application translated into one language (Russian) and, after successful completion of the examination and paperwork on the application, obtain a patent valid in the territory of all countries that have signed the Eurasian Patent Convention.
