Alexey Vakhnin spoke at WIPF Dubai 2025 with a report on the success of IP in Russia

At the end of January 2025, «Vakhnina and Partners» visited Dubai, UAE, to participate in an international conference on intellectual property issues.

Managing Partner of Vakhnina and Partners, Dr. Alexey Vakhnin, made a presentation in which he spoke about the successes and prospects of intellectual property development in Russia.

In his report, Patent Attorney Dr. Vakhnin presented to his fellow specialists an analysis of current trends in the field of intellectual property in Russia. He emphasized that the Russian Patent Office and the judicial system have been and remain above politics and discrimination. Rospatent continues to register trademarks from all countries without exceptions, and the courts consistently protect the interests of copyright holders. Dr. Vakhnin also reviewed the changes in the work of the Intellectual Property sector in the context of US and EU sanctions, noting the adaptation of the applications and rights management processes to new economic realities. He elaborated on the practical aspects of the work of patent attorneys, including optimizing international patent filing strategies and managing intellectual property portfolios for large companies. The report turned out to be really interesting and informative.
