Vakhnina & Partners participated in FICPI Seminar in Istanbul

Our
colleagues took part in the joint seminar organized by FICPI and FICPI Türkiye,
which was held in Istanbul and brought together intellectual property
specialists from around the world.
The event was dedicated to key
issues and current trends in the field of intellectual property, including
trademarks, patents, the use of artificial intelligence in the profession, as
well as other global topics reflecting the real challenges faced by independent
IP practitioners today. Among the speakers were experts from Austria, Canada,
Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Japan, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and
the USA, providing a truly international perspective on the topics discussed.
The seminar program included
several thematic sessions:
Trademarks: discussion on the cancellation of trademarks due to non-use, including recent developments in Turkish practice;
AI and Practice Management: analysis of the application of artificial intelligence in the profession, including issues of automation and maintaining the role of expert human judgment;
Global Topics: a series of short presentations on current international issues, including the Unified Patent Court;
Patents: review of recent decisions of the Enlarged Board of Appeal, including FICPI’s position.
The event also featured an information session dedicated to the activities of FICPI and opportunities to join the organization.
We are grateful to everyone we
met — our friends, colleagues, clients, and partners!
