A few words about the Russian Group of AIPPI:
The Russian National Group of AIPPI is a regional public organization officially named the “Group for the Promotion of Legal Protection of Intellectual Property”. It serves as the official representative of Russia within the global AIPPI structure.
AIPPI is the world’s leading non-profit association in the field of intellectual property. Founded in 1897, it brings together more than 8,000 IP professionals from over 110 countries. The Russian Group has been actively operating since its re-establishment in the post-Soviet period and unites patent attorneys, lawyers, academics, corporate IP specialists, and business representatives.
The Group regularly organizes Annual Patent Congresses , round tables, seminars, and actively participates in international AIPPI events, including World Congresses. Its core mission is to contribute to the development of intellectual property legislation, to formulate well-considered positions on key issues, to share best international practices, and to support innovation in Russia. In recent years, particular emphasis has been placed on topics such as technological sovereignty, the Eurasian patent system, digital transformation of IP processes, and effective rights enforcement amid rapidly changing global conditions.
